Start-up and scale-up stage tech companies are desperate for resources. Large companies face threats from the digital revolution. Universities want connections to companies and job opportunities for students. Cities and states need all three to secure their future, and all hinge on the strength of their local tech ecosystems.
Indianapolis has one of the fastest growing tech ecosystem in the country and an impressive set of organizations, initiatives and programs fueling that growth. We've asked the CEO of TechPoint, Mike Langellier, to share some of the keys to that growth, including launching the $250 million Next Level Fund for VC investment, building talent programs attracting thousands of applicants, and engaging big corporations like Salesforce, Angie's List, Lilly and Cummins.
TechPoint is the industry-led non-profit that brings together Indiana’s tech companies, philanthropies, government, and universities, then engineers and catalyzes the growth of Indiana's tech ecosystem.
Before TechPoint, Mike worked both in large corporate (Experian) and startup environments (MyJibe, sold to MX), primarily building enterprise software product companies in the fintech space. Mike hailed from Illinois before the Orr Fellowship program recruited him from college into the Indy tech community. He now lives in Indy with his wife and three sons.
